Please click here for a print-friendly guide to birding in La Plata County

by local authors, available from Colorado Field Ornithologists.

Want to go farther afield than the Durango area? Click here for a PDF version of the Birding Trail Guide for Southwestern Colorado, brought to you by multiple partners.

eBird, together with the above mentioned guide, should provide enough background for you to have a good birding experience in the Durango area. We love all our hotspots, but the ones identified on the eBird map below are especially productive. Look below the map for more details and more hotspots.
